Due to ongoing expansion and additional work, we are seeking a Minor Works Supervisor to join us on a growing contract based in Sandwell.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Minor Works Supervisor
to join the team & to provide a full range of services under the direction of the Minor Works Manager in accordance with our contractual obligations.

The Project Supervisor will support our Project Management team with the delivery of multiple projects across the West Midlands (Ranging from 25k -1mil) ensuring that all works are delivered to a high standard and maintaining good communication with all stakeholders and contractors (services include, but are not exclusive of, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, fabric trades and specialist sub-contact Suppliers).

The Minor Works Project Supervisor will be responsible for

  • Undertaking the Supervision of all site staff and operatives.
  • Assisting the Project Manager with planning of project.
  • Assisting the Project Manager control all project resources.
  • The overall supervision of the projects.
  • Ensuring all Company Procedures are being complied with
  • Ensuring all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Management Procedures are followed.
  • Achieving high standards of quality and workmanship on site.
  • Ensuring that all aspects of the project are effectively monitored and controlled.
  • Delivering project within programme and budget.
  • Ensuring adherence to site specific project protocol and procedures.
  • Supervising and monitor subcontractors.
  • Communicating effectively with the Project Management team.
  • Liaising with client and designers.
  • Attending regular project progress meetings and compile progress reports for presentation to the Client.
  • Attending and chairing regular subcontractor meetings as required.
  • Maintaining contractual records of all project related matters.
  • Attending and provide input on regular contract meetings with the Client.
  • Introducing improvements and innovations where appropriate.
  • Positively promoting the company wherever and whenever possible
  • Compiling and submitting O&M manuals upon project completion

About You:


Essential Criteria

  • Demonstrate previous experience in a similar role.
  • SSSTS or SMSTS
  • Demonstrate experience in a similar role.
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Experience of Microsoft Word & Excel
  • Ability to obtain an Enhanced DBS
  • Asbestos Awareness Training

Desirable

Criteria

  • Understanding of civil and MEP working activities
  • Ability to scope small works.
  • Ability to prepare tender and construction programs from given scopes and design drawings.
  • To be able to prepare, review and approve Risk Assessments and Method Statements
  • Ability to read construction Drawings and technical specifications.
  • Ability to prepare monthly progress and status reports.
  • A basic disclosure may be requested if security clearance is required by 3rd party clients and a criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to obtaining a position. Our Access NI/Vetting and Barring Scheme Policy and Policy on the Recruitment of Ex-Offenders is available upon request._
