About the Role:


The Head of Sales & Marketing role has been newly created to maximize performance and growth across the four channels of food manufacturing, food service, wholesale and retail.


Key objectives include:

  • Support and develop high performing sales and marketing teams;
  • Lead the delivery of the sales and gross profit plan;
  • Identify new areas of profitable growth and bring them to fruition;
  • Define the annual marketing strategy and budget;
  • Ensure high quality execution of the marketing plan by the Group Marketing Manager and Digital Marketing Manager;
  • Agree appropriate KPIs and provide monthly reporting and analysis to the team;
  • Conduct regular reviews across the Sales and Marketing team, identifying training and development needs;
  • Research market trends through customer visits, attendance at trade events and reading trade publications to ensure the Company's product offer remains aligned with market requirements and opportunities;
  • Shape the business strategy as part of the senior management team;
  • Promote the culture and values of the business both internally and externally.

About You:


  • Relevant experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Strong track record of achieving sales results and delivering business growth
  • Demonstrable understanding of marketing strategies
  • Inspirational leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate
  • Analytical competency, able to identify trends and interpret data to drive actions
  • Excellent verbal, written and listening skills
  • Organisational ability, able to meet multiple deadlines
  • IT literate with strong attention to detail and accuracy

Salary and Rewards:


  • Annual salary of £60K+ (negotiable depending on skills and experience)
