    The Original Baker is a leading manufacturer of premium sweet and savoury baked products, dedicated to delivering high-quality goods to consumers through retail and wholesale channels.

    From our factory in Malton, North Yorkshire, The Original Baker produces a diverse range of delicious baked goods, using high quality ingredients and crafted in a time-honoured fashion.

    Our team of over 100 dedicated employees is passionate about delivering exceptional service and maintaining the highest standards of quality.

    Shape the commercial strategy, leading your teams to ensure clear and measurable business plans are developed and effectively delivered.

    Provide thoughtful and insightful input and leadership to help shape the overall business strategy as a key member of the senior leadership team.

    Inspire and lead, developing a high performance culture across the organisation, including Sales, Customer Service, Marketing and New Product Development.

    Work closely with the Brand Manager to develop a clear premium brand identity which is consistent across all touchpoints.

    Lead the NPD team to ensure our product range remains fresh and innovative, reflecting market trends without compromise on quality.

    Develop an exceptional workplace culture, supporting our goal to become an employer of choice.
    Uphold the Company's brand reputation for quality, authenticity and excellence in all commercial decisions.
    Minimum 5 years' experience in a food manufacturing environment.
    Ideally 2 years' experience as Commercial Director/Head.
    Flexible about adopting a hands-on approach as needed.
    Commercial and entrepreneurial, with a business owner mindset.
    Financial awareness with data analysis and problem solving skills.
    Highly organised and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
    IT literacy, including Outlook, Excel and Word.

    Salary:
    £60,000 - £80,000 per annum (dependant on experience and skills) plus Company car or car allowance and discretionary profit related
    Working Arrangements: 40 hours per week, hybrid position, 3 days on site and 2 days on the road.
