    Veritas Education are working with a secondary school in the heart of Hackney, who believe that creating an environment where students can thrive academically, socially and emotionally is key to student success.

    They have high expections for their students, and work to prepare them for their future post-education.


    As a Behaviour Officer, you will be an integral part of our school community, working closely with students, teachers, and parents to promote positive behavior and ensure a safe and respectful learning environment.

    You will utilise your expertise and experience to develop and implement effective behaviour management strategies tailored to the unique needs of secondary school students.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Collaborate with teachers and staff to identify and address behavioral challenges in the classroom and school environment.
    Provide one-on-one support and interventions for students experiencing behavioral difficulties, helping them develop coping skills and strategies for success.
    Lead workshops and training sessions for teachers and staff on best practices for behavior management and intervention.
    Work closely with parents and guardians to develop individualized behavior plans and provide ongoing support and guidance.
    Monitor and track student behavior data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and make data-driven recommendations for intervention.


    Requirements:
    Previous experience working in a secondary school environment in some capacity is essential.
    Strong understanding of adolescent development and behavior management principles.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
    Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
    Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, counseling, or a related field preferred

    We deal with teaching placements at Primary, Secondary and college level as well as support staff positions also within these.
