Line Setter / Production Operative


The Best Connection are recruiting for Line Setter's on behalf of a leading manufacturer who are based in Rhosesmor, North Wales.


The Role


As a Line Setter you will be responsible for production lines during a shift, ensuring the production plan is fully achieved on time and in accordance with product and H&S standards.


Key Responsibilities of the role

  • Ensure the smooth and efficient running of lines.
  • Be aware of the production plan for each shift, check all aspects of the line before starting up, plan and manage changeovers on the line.
  • Ensure the line is ready to hand over and ensure all issues are communicated.
  • Ensure that all quality checks are accurately completed by operators.

Key Skills/ attributes required for the role

  • Previous manufacturing experience is essential.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Hard working and have the ability to be on your feet for 12hours.
  • Ability to follow instructions both verbally and written.
  • Problem solving and the ability to act quickly when problems arise.

Working Hours:

- ** Winter Hours (From Mid August

  • Mid March)*
  • The working week is Monday
  • Thursday, working 4 x 12hour shifts, working days and nights rotating weekly. Overtime is usually available on a Friday. Working hours are 7am7pm
- ** Summer Hours (From Mid March

  • Mid August)*
  • The working week is Monday
  • Thursday and the shifts are 4 x 9.5 hour shifts, working days. Overtime is usually available on a Friday. Working hours are 7am4.30pm

The Pay Rates for this position are as follows:

  • £11.00 per hour (Standard Hourly Rate)
- £11.65 per hour (Partly Trained Rate)
- £12.30 per hour (Fully Trained Rate

The role of a line setter does involve a degree of flexibility as overtime is needed
(which is paid at a premium rate)
.


The overtime rates for this role are as follows:

  • 1.33x basic rate when working between Monday to Friday
  • 1.5x basic rate when working on a Saturday
  • 2x basic rate when working on a Sunday

There is also an additional payment for night shifts which is £30.00 per night on completion of the shift.
