Job Description:


As Head of Platform and Investments Marketing you'll be responsible for leading and delivering the marketing strategy and plan for the Advance Platform, Embark Platform and Horizon Funds businesses, including investment research and actuarial consulting services, in alignment with Embarks growth priorities.


As a senior member of the marketing team, you'll act as a role model and custodian of the Group's brand and values, building a positive, cohesive team and working environment, with a culture of teamwork across the business, distribution and other functional teams.

You'll also support the Group Head of Marketing with the development and implementation of Group-wide marketing initiatives.


You'll directly manage a team of six people, based in multiple offices, responsible for marketing, content strategy and technical writing.

You'll lead, motivate, coach and develop the team individually and collectively, supporting their learning and development needs, setting objectives and managing any employee issues, with appropriate HR support as needed.

Location and Ways of Working


Our team is based across our Edinburgh and London hubs; therefore, ideally you'd be based in one of these locations.

We're flexible on location for the right person though, just as long as your open to travel for the occasional team meeting.


Responsibilities (not limited to):

  • Development and management of marketing activities for all platform and investments business divisions including Advance by Embark, Embark Platform, Stocktrade, Horizon by Embark, Embark Actuarial and The Adviser Centre
  • Day to day management and delivery of the marketing requirements for the Platform and Investments businesses and all its propositions, interacting directly with business partners and our sales teams
  • Initiate ideas and strategies to improve engagement with our target audiences via all channels and gain greater insight of our key clients, using the insight to refine our messaging and approach
  • Build and publish compelling content to best position Embark as innovators in the market and to fulfil requirements to support external marketing and distribution agreements
  • Maintain and continuously improving the high standards and production quality of written client communications and marketing materials, adhering to FCA treating customers fairly and financial promotions guidelines
  • Lead all aspects of the creative development process, utilising the services of internal resources and external agencies including PR, content, research, CRM and brand where required
  • Ensure appropriate responses to requests for information in line with Group messaging and FCA requirements, including oversight of the database of information for due diligence requests
  • Establish important metrics, conduct regular analysis and report on return on investment effectiveness of all marketing activities, ensuring our internal reporting, audit requirements and financial reporting responsibilities are met
  • Management of the Groupwide sales and marketing committee, ensuring key decisions are recorded and actions are followed up by the proposition, distribution, and business representatives

Skills & Experience we're looking for:

Essential:

  • Solid strategic experience in B2B marketing, with a proven track record of working with proposition and sales teams to devise compelling marketing strategies and building effective campaigns to support business growth
  • Successful track record in developing effective financial services marketing campaigns that meet FCA guidelines, get results and deliver positive client outcomes
  • Creative thinking, with experience using current digital marketing tools and techniques and developing multichannel content
  • Experience in performance management and in leading remote teams
  • Excellent
