( Operational hours are 4pm-11pm Mon-Fri | 1pm - 11pm Sat -Sun)

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
Be responsible for the day-to-day oversight and delivery of an out-of-hours' service for people experiencing mental distress or crisis.

The Team Leader will ensure that the service offers a space to encourage sharing of lived experience, to develop people'spersonal goals, so that people feel more resilient and better able to cope as a result of the support they have received.

Day-to-day duties will include:

Provide supervision, guidance, and support to staff to help them to carry out their roles effectively to deliver a safe, welcoming and quality support service.
Manage staff team rotas, ensuring sufficient complement of staff and volunteers are on shift to meet service user need.
Support the Service Manager throughout recruitment processes, ensuring that the vacancies are recruited to with competent staff that share the values of the service.
Ensure that new starters are inducted fully, and that appropriate training, supervisions and appraisals take place within appropriate timescales
Work within set targets and manage time effectively on own initiative and as part of a team
Make a positive contribution to and work constructively within the team, including developing your own abilities to enhance team performance
Support individuals on a onetoone or group basis as part of a variety of interventions relating to the steps of selfdirected support and achieving their goals
Contributing to the protection of individuals from the risk of abuse and selfharm
Contributing to the ongoing development of the individual and the service
Communicate effectively with individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds
Forge and maintain relationships with other agencies in the community
Promote engagement within the community as a key factor in recovery and selfmanagement
Empower individuals to exercise choice and control, offering a personcentred service led by the wishes of the individuals you are working with
