We are also supporting the modernisation and development of energy grids, managing the setup and siting for new transmission and distribution networks, and using hydrogen to decarbonise the transport and industry sectors.

    Assystem holds a strong position in the market, particularly in France and the United Kingdom for nuclear energy. Assystem also aims to play a major role as an owner's engineer internationally to remain among the top five global nuclear players. To achieve this, a specific business unit, FEET, has been created, within which a dedicated team will play a key role.

    The Company Security Controller who is responsible to the Corporate Services Director & the Managing Director for the security activities of the company and is primarily responsible for managing efficient and effective coordination of each sites' security operation in the areas of physical, material, documents, personnel and information security.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Liaison with Contracting Authority representatives or appointed FSC / List N Security Advisor.
    • Advising management on security controls interpretation and implementation.
    • Coordinating security planning for new contracts or classified asset handling.
    • Conducting investigations and implementing corrective actions for security incidents.
    • Maintaining compliance with security standards and regulations.
    • Organizing security awareness campaigns and employee briefings.
    • Developing and implementing security policies, procedures, and training.
    • Collaborating with the Deputy Company Security Controller & Responsible Site Security Officers.
    • Ensuring adherence to industry security assurance frameworks.
    • Acting as the point of contact for security awareness for international mobility.
    • Line management responsibility for the Deputy Company Security Controller.
    • Maintaining accreditations and overseeing third-party security assurance.
    • Liaising with Information Security to ensure international information sharing procedures.

    Essential Requirements

    • Experience as a company security controller in defense and/or nuclear industries.
    • Ability to obtain Security Clearance and hold British nationality.
    • Experience with defense & nuclear accreditations and security risk management.
    • Completion of Personal Risk Assessments.
    • Hold a current driving license.
    • Relevant security qualifications and degree-level education preferred.

    Desired Skills:

    • Working knowledge of ISO 27001 and ISO 22301.
    • Expertise in security risk analysis, crime prevention, contract management, and leadership.
    • Proficiency in security design, access management, CCTV systems, and facility counterterrorism.
    • Experience in information protection, personnel safety, and business continuity management

    Location:

    • Based near Blackburn, Derby, Sunderland or Westlakes.
    • 2-3 days in the office with hybrid working and occasional travel
