The UK Recruitment & Admissions Department are seeking to appoint 4 permanent full time Senior England Recruitment Officers.

These posts are exciting new opportunities to lead on student recruitment in key target areas within England.

The University has ambitions plans to grow undergraduate student recruitment in particular and recruitment from England will be a key part of this.


Utilising data to focus the targeting, the postholders will be expected to take a multi-channel approach, these will therefore be very varied roles combining office based and face to face recruitment and student engagement activities.

Applicants will be educated to degree level or equivalent and will be experienced in student recruitment.

You will be innovative, highly creative, with ambition and energy who want to make a real difference to student recruitment at Bangor University.

You will also need to have very strong people skills to enable them to engage with students, build strategic partnerships externally and work collaboratively internally to ensure that everything they do compliments the recruitment and marketing work of the rest of the University.


The posts will be home based and it will be required for them to be located in or near the geographic areas that are assigned to the post.

The geographical areas In England that we will be looking for the posts to cover are:
The North West, Midlands, Bristol/Bath or Yorkshire/Humberside.

The University will also provide access to office facilities on either our Bangor or Wrexham campuses to further support the role.

The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable for these roles.

Purpose of the Job


As part of a team of student recruitment professionals, this role has specific responsibility for developing and delivering recruitment plans targeting specific geographic areas within England.

The University has ambitions plans to grow undergraduate student recruitment in particular and recruitment from England will be a key part of this.

Utilising data to focus the targeting, the postholder will be expected to take a multi-channel approach utilising everything from advertising to schools' engagement.

This will therefore be a very varied role combining office based and face to face recruitment and student engagement activities.

Main


Responsibilities:


  • To contribute to the development of a regional recruitment plan for England with the support of the Head of UK Recruitment.
  • To target and build relationships with key feeder schools and colleges and deliver a programme of creative and innovative engagement.
  • To develop engaging sessions which can be delivered face to face and/or online which promote the University but are also of practical value to schools and students.
  • To attend higher education fairs as assigned.
  • To develop regionally focused and relevant recruitment materials ensuring that they are on brand and of high quality, with support from marketing colleagues.
  • To work with alumni relations to identify regional alumni who maybe able to support regional recruitment. Work with them to identify opportunities including face to face delivery, content profiles etc.
  • Develop the necessary knowledge to provide specialist advice to students, parents and advisors.
  • Put in place systems to capture enquirer data and to evaluate all engagements.
  • To provide regular reports on engagement and impact and assessment of effectiveness.
  • To identify, propose and develop other regional promotional opportunities, thinking outside of the norm.
  • To work with colleagues in brand marketing and recruitment marketing to develop complimentary advertising plans within the target regions to support the recruitment activity.
  • To plan, develop and deliver regionally relevant social media content.
  • Network across the HE sector to ensure awareness of competitor behaviour and to respond accordingly.
  • To support the Clearing process as part of the wider recruitment team.
  • Provide crosssection support on events and activities in relation to UK recruitment and widening participation, including attending open and offer holder days, UCAS fairs and delivering presentations where required. This will involve staying away from home and will involve working some evenings and weekends.
