Location -Whitstable, Kent

Salary - £30,000 - £32,000

Do you have experience of fabrication work with large pipe work and structural items up to 15 tons?

We have a great opportunity in Whitstable for a Fabricator to work for one of our clients. In this role you will be working full-time, Monday to Thursday.

Responsibilities

Undertake fabrication of marine loading arms to meet the requirements of the production plan and our quality management systems
Develop patterns for pipe saddle joints plus burn / grind welding preps
Collect materials from stores using engineering drawings and parts lists to identify required parts
Carry out continuous addition of parts until final fabrication is complete
Carry out selfmonitoring for HAVS
Carry out stripping and repair of older loading arms in refurbishment
Undertake any other duties as required

Skills and Experience

Experience in a Heavy fabrication environment
Experience of large pipe work and structural items up to 15 tons
Ability to complete all records and operations sheets accurately
Understand and care for tools, equipment and PPE as appropriate
Knowledge of Health & Safety including, manual handling and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)
Knowledge of slinging and lifting
Ability to understand and interpret relevant technical drawings and parts lists
