    RELOCATION OPPORTUNITY

    GENERAL MANAGER – Multi-site Manufacturing

    BASED (options): LIVINGSTON, Central Belt, Scotland, or LINCOLN, East Midlands

    6-figure salary + bonus, LTIP, car allowance, pension, life cover & relocation

    This company is part of a leading multi-sited worldwide group, manufacturing high integrity complex engineered products for major blue-chip customers in the aerospace, energy, and nuclear industries. With a long history of delivering strong results & growth, this business is strategically and operationally geared to deliver demanding performance targets and future growth, led by a highly focused, dynamic, and lean thinking leadership team.

    Reporting to the Managing Director Europe, and to reinforce this senior management team, we are seeking to identify candidates for the pivotal role of General Manager,to oversee and lead this twin sited 'operations' driven business.

    The role:

    · Responsibility for P&L and delivering EBIT and sales growth through strong operational and strategic leadership whilst constantly driving the safe delivery of OTIF quality products to established schedules at or below budgeted costs.

    • Driving & closely monitoring improvements whist reviewing reporting packs, operating plans, key projects, capital, & sales budgets etc. across all functions including operations, finance, technical, HR, sales, commercial, quality & supply chain etc.
    • Support customer strategy at a high-level whist maintaining proactive relationships with existing and prospective customers, large vendors, and other stakeholders to help retain and secure major long-term agreements in existing and new markets.

    The person:

    • Technical graduate with a proven strategic & robust operational (shop floor) background gained in leading highly demanding lean manufacturing environments, ideally with a knowledge of the aerospace or power generation sectors.
    • A dynamic, determined & resourceful individual with a sound technical background allied to good commercial & financial management, with established budgeting & forecasting expertise, together with excellent statistical & analytical skills.
    • Strong natural leadership skills, capable of leading & driving through significant and ongoing change, with a background of lean manufacturing, CI & control methodologies designed to underpin, promote & foster sustainability across the business.
