    Description

    We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT Support Engineer based out of our Southampton office. Working in the UK service delivery team to assist DP World UK employees with the installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of desktop computers, peripheral equipment, and software requirements.

    Excellent IT expertise and customer service skills are required of the ideal applicant. You must be able to build relationships with a variety of different stakeholders on a daily basis. No two days or problems will be the same in this fast-paced job. We're searching for someone who can approach problems with a can-do mentality and identify solutions.

    Location: Southampton, 5 days in office

    Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (Mon-Fri)

    About the Role

  • Supply service desk support facilities using ITIL foundations.
  • Ensure calls are closed within the agreed SLAs.
  • Ensure sufficient information is recorded against a call closure to assist with similar calls int he future.
  • Maintain the knowledge base of useful information gained from the infrastructure team or vendors.
  • Software installations on desktops, laptops, VMTs, printers etc.
  • Preparing new equipment using Standard Operating Environment (SOE) imaged.
  • Support with corporate and personal mobile devices.
  • Monitor and maintain backup and restore procedures.
  • Continually upskill all staff on use of standard hardware and software, especially in relating to Cyber Security.
  • Work with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems.
  • Take on other tasks and projects as required.
  • Participate in the on—call rota of the IT Service Desk Team.
  • What you will bring

  • IT related Degree or equivalent qualification or experience;
  • Microsoft qualifications and Comptia A+ or equivalent qualifications are desirable.
  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft desk administration tools and server design technology.
  • Familiarisation of large scale corporate network topology.
  • Demonstrable ability to work within a team;
  • Keen to adopt new systems and technologies;
  • Work effectively under pressure.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Full UK driving license and own transport essential.
