The role

We have a sensational opportunity for a Financial Associate with 0-4 years PQE to join a leading international law firm in their Financial Services Regulatory team. The firm, based in London, work with a variety of high-profile clients in the financial sector and pride themselves on their esteemed reputation in the market. The team specialise and advise on all aspects of regulation including regulatory perimeter advice, prudential requirements, governance, outsourcing, funding and liquidity, conduct of business requirements and client money.

You will be advising clients on major projects such as:

• M&A of regulated businesses
• Regulatory change
• Cross border expansion

Required skills & experience

• English law legal knowledge gained within a top-tier city firm.
• Strong academic record.
• Ability to work with a degree of independence.
• Exceptional drafting skills and legal research ability.
• Knowledge of the overall regulatory landscape in the UK and a good understanding of the upcoming regulatory reform in the UK under the Edinburgh Reforms.
• A broad understanding of some of the major international regulatory initiatives impacting the financial sector including PSD2 & Open Banking, MIFID II, EMIR, MAR, DORA and MiCAR.
