    Your Role

    As the Sector Lead for the Consumer Sector reporting into the Director of Strategic Growth for the Corporate and Institutions audience, you will have responsibility for creating and leading on the delivery of a Consumer Sector growth strategy for our Corporates and Institutions Audience.

    In addition, you will have a significant client facing role leading a sector group made up of colleagues from across the business to deliver growth by winning more work from new sector clients, embedding existing sector client relationships leading to deeper service line penetration and developing our sector networks, connections and partnerships.

    Our focus is to ensure we secure the right candidate for the role, therefore the successful candidate could be either be a Senior Associate or Partner level hire, depending on the individual. A full role profile is available upon request.

    What You'll Be Doing

    • Setting a dynamic growth strategy for the Consumer Sector and leading a multi – disciplinary sector team of lawyers and BD professionals to deliver that strategy
    • Building Irwin Mitchell's profile in the Consumer Sector
    • Sharing industry insights and working with people from across the group to support, strengthen and develop our Consumer Sector proposition
    • Identifying targets and developing opportunities to win new sector clients and expand existing client relationships
    • Informing M&A and lateral growth strategies to ensure we have the right skill set to deliver the Consumer Sector growth strategy
    What We're Looking For
    • An experienced client-facing lawyer
    • Strategic business builder with an ambitious and innovative mind set.
    • Strong leadership and motivational skills.
    • Exceptional insight and network within the relevant sector.
    • Current experience of driving sales with new and established clients in the applicable sector group.
    • In depth knowledge of the industry sector with a strong network in the relevant sector space.
    • Proactive in the market to develop and build opportunities to attract and win new clients.
