Charity People is seeking an interim Training Manager for a
9-month maternity cover.
As Training Manager you will oversee the delivery and development of a suite of online training modules. Our client is a social enterprise, specialising in training, innovation and research, within the health and social care sectors.

The program you willmanage, is aimed at multi-disciplinary health and social care professionals to improve the quality of patient care.

This is a part time role, 4 days per week.

Our client is based in South London, however this role is
home based, with a requirement to attend quarterly in-person meetings, with travel expenses covered.


As Training Manager, you will develop and maintain content quality and recruit, train and support a committed team of freelance Training Associates in collaboration with the Learning Development and Associates Coordinator.

You will also have an opportunityto deliver training alongside permanent staff and the Associates.

To give you an idea of how this flexible role would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do:

  • Engage with new customers, e.g., NHS commissioners and healthcare service-leads to ensure understanding of the company's online training offer, in terms of content, delivery, costs, planning and payment.
  • Develop and maintain supportive working relationships with customers to provide a positive experience.
  • Attend weekly internal planning meetings to review workshop bookings, allocation of facilitators to workshops and new business opportunities.
  • Provide leadership in developing strategies for team cohesion and growth in collaboration with the CEO.

The following skills are also required:

  • Line management, recruitment, staff and team development.
  • Developing and maintaining administrative systems.
  • Developing training materials and monitoring quality.


Lastly it is essential that you have excellent client management skills, and able to effectively communicate the impact of the program to prospective customers.
