Premises Manager - South East London
Full time, Permanent - ASAP Start


The main purpose of the post is to provide a professional comprehensive Facilities Management service to the School, ensuring that the school sites are maintained in a safe, clean and secure condition.

In addition to this, the post holder will need to strategicallyplan for the future needs of the school and children centres.


The lovely primary school is based in Streatham in South East London, they are looking for a new Premises Manager to start ASAP.


  • To be responsible for the facilities management for the school
  • Take a strategic role to ensure that the ongoing and future needs of the School are met in terms of site, property, facilities and Health and Safety
  • To monitor all contractor Service Level Agreements
  • To review all facilities supplier contract agreements and their commercial terms and conditions for building maintenance and compliance
  • To liaise with the School's outside cleaning contractor
  • To be responsible for multi disciplinary teams whilst working on site
  • To coordinate all building maintenance and operation activities
  • To project plan and manage building works
  • To oversee all building work and renovations
  • To play a key role in the School's Critical Incident and Emergency Team (BACP)
  • To lead and work constructively as part of a team, understanding School roles and responsibilities, and fully participating in the life of the School
  • To Lead on the review of the Health and Safety policies, and other appropriate policies
  • Lock/unlock school buildings and areas
  • Undertake regular security checks and identify security risks
  • Monitor fire safety equipment and carry out fire drills and weekly fire call point tests
  • Ensure records of all fire drills and tests are kept up to date
  • Operate and respond to alarm systems where appropriate
  • Monitor CCTV or surveillance equipment where appropriate
  • Liaise with police, security and surveillance contractors
  • Provide emergency access to the school site
  • To be the nominated out of hours contact
You must have a DBS to be considered for this role.
