As a Built Environment Lecturer with The Sheffield College, you'll join one of the most forward-thinking and dynamic construction departments in Further Education

With a brand-new innovation centre coming soon, manageable learner numbers to ensure teaching quality (<15), and the development of new T-levels, we're on track to accomplish our mission of becoming leaders in technical education by 2025.

You will be carrying out the full breadth of Lecturing duties, such as:

Delivering content on a range of courses we offer, including BTEC L3 Built Environment & HNC Construction
Deliver and play a part in developing our new Tlevel provision for next year
Engaging in an industryleading CPD programme to expand your skills
Bring fresh ideas to the table and help grow our professional construction provision
Champion our singleminded commitment to putting students first
Exemplify our core values of Inclusivity, Diversity, and Celebrating Achievement

After your first year with us, success in this role would look like:

Built student skills to a high level in preparation for industry
Helped forge relationships with employers and other external organisations
Enthusiastically engaged with CPD to develop your own skills and further your career

Though ideally, you will:

Hold highlevel construction experience such as project management, surveying or civil engineering/design along with relevant qualifications
Have a strong working knowledge of uptodate building regs and industry practices
Have a broad understanding of the professional aspect of construction
