The Mucky Duck is the premier destination sports bar for the more discerning clientele in central Winchester. We enjoy a primarily AB demographic to watch sport and socialise in a comfortable and safe environment.

Our current GM who has steered this ship for the past 9 years is moving on and we need a very entrepreneurial GM to continue and build on this solid foundation.

The new GM will possess excellent marketing and social media skills. You will be a natural communicator engaging with customers confidently at all levels with a lively personality. You will develop and train your team to meet your exacting standards and ensure all legal compliance is met.

The GM will be expected to confidently influence the business direction in a similar way to having your own tenancy.

You will not be micro managed. The option to take on this tenancy within the next few years is a strong incentive. A keen interest in sport is a huge advantage.
We do not serve food.

This is a wet led very successful business but we need new ideas and initiatives to breath new life into the next chapter.

Previous experience of sports bar management is not essential but desirable.

The salary for this GM role is considerably above average for a business that is not multi faceted and does not trade all day.

A KPI bonus will be mutually agreed and achievable. Your current remuneration will be more than matched by this opportunity.

Live in is available but not ideal for the calibre of individual we seek but may suit in the short term.
