The Opportunity – Software Developer Apprentice
Start Date - September 2024, typically for 18 months.
Minimum Entry Criteria - Candidates wishing to apply for the Group IT apprentice programme at JCB should have a passion for driving growth and improvement in an ambitious organisation. Strong interpersonal skills, a proactive attitude and an analytical mind-set will be key to success. A minimum entry requirement of 4 GCSES at Grade 4 or above including English and Maths

Within this role you will be:
· Interacting with business analysts to understand customer requirements and develop technical solutions
· Developing and implementing new software programs, as well as maintaining and improving the performance of existing software
· Designing and updating software databases, if appropriate
· Testing and maintaining software products to ensure strong functionality and optimization
· Communicating clearly and regularly with stakeholders, as well as other technical colleagues
· Recommending improvements to existing software programs as necessary
