Express Recruitment are proud to be working with a firmly established, IT service provider in Derbyshire.

Due to continued UK and international growth, our client is seeking a technical astute Service Desk Manager who can demonstrate a wide range of hands-ontechnical skills.


In return, our client are offering a generous starting salary of up to £50,000 plus genuine opportunities to progress throughout the business and be part of their international growth success story.


Working hours are predominantly typical office hours Monday to Friday, although a degree of flexibility is needed to aid the needs of the business.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Reporting directly to the COO and help to devise a growth strategy for increasing the headcount of the service desk team throughout 202
  • Supporting the wider service desk team with hands on technical tasks
  • Overseeing teams' wider performance and identifying skills gaps and devise relevant training sessions
  • Deal with end point escalations and provide efficient solutions
  • Consult closely with key stakeholders and inform them of project progress and service delivery improvement plan
  • Ensure SLAs and strict information security compliance standards are adhered to at all times
  • Collaborate with wider management team to explore further business improvement methods and devise proposals
  • Review internal resources and put forward proposals for additional recruitment in key technical /geographical areas of the service desk department

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree qualified or time served experience in relevant IT field
  • Demonstrable experience in a fast paced, service desk environment
  • Holder of ITIL certification highly desirable
  • Proven experience in managing large, multidisciplined teams of up to twenty people
  • Experience in managing multilingual teams a distinct advantage
  • Flexible with additional working hours when required
  • Proven experience in staff, performance and change management
  • Proven stakeholder management experience
