Role summary:

We have an exciting opportunity within the Direct Engagement team, part of NHS Professionals Doctors Direct service offering.

The Service Transformation Coordinator will be the main point of contact for the DE service for client, locums, and other teams.

The role will involve managing the day to day DE service as well as working closely with the trust to promote DE and facilitate the migration of non-DE locums to DE.


The key responsibilities of the role will be:

  • Identify, gather and collate highly complex client data from multiple sources in order to evaluate Direct Engagement throughput and savings opportunities
  • Working with the relevant stakeholders, take ownership and responsibility for the conversion of workers to Direct Engagement contracts.
  • Support the development and implementation of robust and realistic plans in conjunction with
  • Take ownership of specific Direct Engagement projects, where necessary owning the end to end process
  • Working with the Placement Teams to support agency migration, educate both client and worker groups on our Direct Engagement offering and how it can be linked to agency migration & service transformation and also how our client Trusts can benefit from these services
  • Influence external stakeholders to adopt proposals and recommendations made by NHS Professionals in support of account objectives
  • Build and maintain ongoing working relationships with stakeholders both internal and external at all levels across the organisation, ensuring that we are always one step ahead of our competition.
  • Work with the wider Doctors Direct team to record past successes to prospective client Trusts to support the creation of case studies
  • Support the implementation process of new Direct Engagement clients, including participating in Agency Briefings and supporting all stakeholders through the initial phasing as well as actively converting workers to Direct Engagement contracts and managing and resolving any queries or issues.
  • Act as a point of contact for client Trusts for queries relating to the operational delivery of Direct Engagement Assisting in the resolution of all Direct Engagement payroll or finance queries

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to understand and analyse complex data sets
  • Extensive experience of using MS Excel and working with spreadsheets
  • Experience of creating and giving presentations
  • Ability to work well under pressure, manage your own workload and deadlines
  • Experience of working on projects
  • Can manage complaints to effective resolution
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experience of building and maintaining relationships
  • Willing to travel to client sites when necessary
