Senior Buyer – Garden & Outdoor South London (Hybrid working available)

I am currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Buyer to join an established UK retailer based within their Head Office function.

A leading retailer specialising in the Home sector is looking for a commercial and forward-thinking Senior Buyer to join their business with responsibility of one of their key product categories Outdoor & Garden this is a seasonal, fast moving and ever evolving category .

As the Senor Buyer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the range strategy to maximise the budgeted financial business targets ensuring the right products are purchased at the correct prices and within the relevant time frames.

Reporting into the Head of Buying some of your duties will include.

Responsible for maximising the delivery of the Sales / Margin & Stock turn of your category range to deliver a market beating product and seasonal proposition.

Building & maintaining strong relationships with suppliers
Responsible for buying both Own Brand and Branded ranges.
Presenting product range & trend information to the Senior Management team
Monitoring & reviewing competitor information to ensure your product area stays relevant in a changing market.
Proven previous experience as a Senior Buyer within Outdoor / Garden sector is essential.
Able to adapt swiftly in a fast paced, ever changing seasonal retail market.
Strong IT skills including MS Office.
