Dorset County Hospital offers the opportunity to work on acute inpatient wards and assessment units outpatient clinics and in rehabilitation facilities including community rotations in partnership with Dorset Healthcare University NHS Foundation Trust.
Neurotherapy (Acute Stroke and Neuro)Stroke Rehab Unit (including Neuro)
Orthopaedics (Elective & Trauma)
Front of house (Emergency Department & older people's assessment unit)
Acute Care (Respiratory, Surgery, Medicine and Intensive Care)
Respiratory Medicals/ Pulmonary Rehabilitation
Musculoskeletal outpatients (as part of Band 5 Inpatient rotation)
Integrated Community Rehabilitation (Dorset Health Care) - In development
Acute Oncology (Macmillan Team) - In development
Integrated Community Rehabilitation - Community

Diploma or Degree in Physiotherapy.
Registered as a Physiotherapist with The Health Professions Council.
Relevant Healthcare courses
Able to communicate complex information to patients, carers other health professionals and team.
Able to provide a high standard of clear concise, written and verbal reports in English
IT skills, including using hospital data bases, word processing, excel, email and power point
A broad range of undergraduate experience in all core specialities of Physiotherapy
Previous experience at band 5 level
Experience of participating in audit and evidence based projects.
Evidence of actively participating in in-service training and MDT groups, and evaluating effectiveness of training
An understanding of evidenced based practice pertaining to Physiotherapy
Awareness of national guidelines and standards relevant to Physiotherapy
Understanding of clinical governance and its implication for Physiotherapy
Work across sites in a flexible manner and adapt to changing environments
Available for on-call, weekend duties and altered working patterns where clinically appropriate
