    Title: Shipping/Customs Specialist (Temporary)

    SRG is delighted to be representing a breakthrough technology company that specialises in synthetic and stem cell biology. Due to an increase in demand, they are now looking for a Shipping/Customs Specialist to join the team initially on a temporary basis to work closely with the wider business.

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate across departments to ensure smooth import processes for shipments to the US and support revenue generation efforts.
    • Interpret and implement government import regulations, advising on long-term export strategies to the US.
    • Ensure timely and compliant clearance of products, validating commercial invoices, and coordinating with regulatory bodies and brokers for shipment release.
    • Manage end-to-end shipment processes, designing cost-effective solutions and monitoring shipment statuses.
    • Utilize expertise in exporting temperature-controlled regulated products or biologics to the USA.

    Additional Responsibilities:

    • Interpret government import rules and regulations to support business strategies.
    • Handle daily import transactions, ensuring timely, compliant clearance of products and materials.
    • Classify imported goods with appropriate codes and data per import scenarios.
    • Validate accuracy of commercial invoices to comply with US Customs requirements.
    • Coordinate with regulatory bodies, brokers, and government agencies on release of shipments.
    • Monitor shipments' release status and provide timely clearance instructions.

    Requirements:

    • Expertise in exporting products, ideally cells or temperature-controlled regulated products or biologics, to the USA.
    • Experience in shipping to other parts of the world, with a focus on the USA.
    • Ability to advise on long-term export strategies and team growth.
    • Agility, customer focus, proactive mindset, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and customs procedures.
