    We are looking for an enthusiastic dietitian with good nutrition knowledge and experience, to work mostly in West Essex.

    You will be managed by our Prescribing Support Consultant Dietitian and work within a small friendly & supportive team of dietitians covering the ICS geography of West Essex and Hertfordshire.

    Our overall aim is to ensure that patients in the whole of Hertfordshire & West Essex are offered excellent NHS care that borrows and adapts the best work from elsewhere and that helps us in our ongoing quest to provide the best quality services that we can for our 1.

    Supporting primary care to improve prescribing of oral nutritional supplements
    Supporting primary care to improve prescribing of Specialist infant formulas (CMPA)
    Working with community dietetics to support use of a 'whole care home approach'

    You will be working in a learning organisation and in a team that strives to support all staff to grow and to develop.

    Able to assess and treat a specialist caseload, manages this through audit, assessment and training of champions in GP practices and beyond
    Develops and implements local guidelines across nutrition and dietetics. This includes significant liaison with staff in acute services, community services and primary care – great influencing skills are a key part of the role
    Undertakes training and research

    The post holder will support the Head of Department and their team to ensure that their workstream of programmes are planned and managed effectively and take the lead in assisting in their successful delivery.

    Undergraduate Degree/2 year Post-Graduate Diploma in Nutrition & Dietetics
    Evidence of continued professional development
    Demonstrated experience in an NHS Healthcare environment
    Student Clinical Educators Course
    Demonstrated experience of co-ordinating projects in complex and challenging environments

    The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
