    What you'll do

    A new opportunity has arisen for a strategic and financially-minded individual to join our European Network Business Engagement team.

    As our company rapidly evolves, we continuously invest in improving and optimizing our networks to better serve both new and existing customers.

    In this role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring that our commercial strategies are seamlessly integrated into Vodafone's network innovation initiatives, reflecting market trends and driving competitive advantage.

    The successful candidate will spearhead the E2E management of the UK Networks Innovation Trials and Testbeds program, engaging both externally with funding organizations and internally for sponsorship.

    You'll prioritize pipeline discussions with commercial business units and regulatory teams, submit network bid responses, and oversee network deliverables while claiming back funds from consortiums and government departments.

    Additionally, you'll initiate, harmonize, own, and manage the European Networks Competitor Intelligence reporting function, providing crucial strategic management information to the ExCo and supporting strategic decision-making.

    Who you are

    This role requires a candidate with a deep understanding of the telecoms market, a passion for technology, and the ability to bridge the gap between networks and commercial teams.

    You'll collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, effectively communicating business and technology strategies, and ensuring that commercial priorities and customer expectations are central to networks' decision-making processes.

    Proven ability to think strategically about business, products and technology.
    Proven record of defining and implementing strategic plans.
    Strong financial background, including the creation of business plans across functions, ownership of budgets and management to of the long range plan
    Knowledge of mobile and fixed markets and networks and experience in the telecommunications sector highly beneficial

    Excellent communication skills – able to engage with stakeholders confidently and effectively; able to explain complex concepts in an accessible way.

    Excellent problem solving, analytical and communication skills.
    Demonstrate strong numerical and literary skills and advanced data analytical skills.
