- Set facilities standards and ensure they are maintained
- To work with 3rd party contracts to ensure best value
- To help implement a new CMMS to track and manage maintenance tasks effectively

- H&S Requirements, site compliance being key, i.e., PUWER/LOLER etc
- Put health & safety best practices first in all work carried out ensuring compliance with all health & safety standards and regulations
- Planned maintenance schedules are followed and actioned effectively
- To work within the Facilities teams to resolve, repair issues and maintain equipment, assisting with quotes and project work
- React quickly to breakdowns, communicate clearly with affected parties and work efficiently to fix the issue
- Support continuous improvement by learning from breakdowns and sending feedback and suggestions for improvements through the line manager
- Served a full Engineering indentured Apprenticeship and/or qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a relevant Engineering subject (City & Guilds EAL, SVQ/IVQ, BTEC all at Level 3)
- Multi skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines
- Experience of setting standards and implementing on them site
- Warehouse internals i.e. Racking/dock doors/dock lifting systems/ sprinklers/lighting/power distribution/plumbing/joinery and general repair works
- Organise and prioritise multiple maintenance works
- Good communication skills within a team but also working alongside operations
- The right candidate would have warehouse automation experience as the company looks to develop

Description
We are currently looking for
a Maintenance Technician t o sit within a key team to resolve, repair issues and maintain equipment in our Bedford DC.This is a full time position, working alongside the Site Operations teams and report to the Facilities & Maintenance Manager.
