    Manchester Metropolitan University's Estates Operations Team seeks an adept Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their diverse group of engineers providing reactive and scheduled maintenance services campus-wide.

    Role Overview:

  • Under the guidance of the Electrical Maintenance Manager, the Electrical Maintenance Engineer will undertake various electrical maintenance tasks across residential and academic buildings. Responsibilities encompass general and emergency lighting, lighting control, small power, and electrical supplies to specialized systems.
  • Additionally, the Estates Operations team provides an after-hours service, addressing emergencies and critical issues, with additional compensation for on-call duties.
  • This role is dynamic and multifaceted, catering to individuals who thrive in active environments. Beyond the technical aspects of inspecting and repairing electrical systems across campus, the job entails significant physical activity, making it ideal for those who enjoy being on the move.

  • Working Hours:

    The role operates on a Monday to Friday schedule from 08:45 to 16:30.

    Please note that the successful candidate will need to engage in the after-hours callout schedule, typically involving one week out of every six.
