    Franchise Director – Jaguar Land Rover

    Location: Marshall Motor Group, Nationwide with travel across England

    Salary and benefits: Between £140,000-£170,000 basic salary, depending on experience plus a bonus opportunity of 50% based around OEM standards, employee engagement and business performance, in addition we offer a high quality, tax efficient company car, family private healthcare, pension scheme, life assurance plus other associated benefits

    This is rare opportunity to join Marshall Motor Group as the Franchise Director for our Jaguar Land Rover operations. We are seeking an experienced Franchise Director capable of leading our team of experienced Jaguar Land Rover specialists and supporting the team to deliver high levels of growth and performance, ensuring we are the destination of choice for current and prospective clients.

    Part of your key responsibilities will be to maintain strong relationships with our manufacturer partners and assisting the Group with its future growth plans.

    The successful candidate will require a strong business acumen, analytical skills and be capable of demonstrating high of level of marketing and digital knowledge to assist in growing market share within a diverse local market demographic. You will also be required to demonstrate a strong knowledge of all areas of compliance and regularity areas of our industry and deliver against those both internally and externally.

    Reporting to the Group Managing Director, the Franchise Director will be accountable for the overall performance for our 10 stores across the country, from Lincoln down to Newbury.

    What are the key accountabilities?

    As the Franchise Director, you will have overall accountability for all people and performance for the division. With support from your Divisional and Head of Business team, you will:

    • Lead, develop and motivate a diverse team of automotive professionals
    • Grow and nurture a high-performance, client focused culture, coaching and developing colleagues, enabling internal succession, and ensuring great performance is recognised and rewarded
    • Oversee the sales and aftersales departments, ensuring performance is maximised with potential over performance opportunities explored
    • Set financial and growth objectives for each business, and plan accordingly to ensure profit and product targets are met, including OEM scorecard
    • Ensure a clear focus on high levels of client satisfaction, good client outcomes, through the stores consistently achieving exceptional levels of CSI
    • Accurately finalise reporting alongside your Finance Controller, in line with Group reporting frameworks with overall P&L responsibility
    • Establish and develop strong relationships with manufacturers to grow our partnerships, ensure our team develops in line with the brand partner framework and expectations, and extending future business opportunities
    • Develop and roll out future strategy, working closely with the Marshall Motor Group Board of Directors
    • Maintain exceptional key controls, across Health and Safety, Compliance and Group Policy
    • Ensure all divisional activity is conducted in line with Marshall Motor Group, Manufacturer, and Regulatory requirements

    Do I need experience?

    Given the nature of this role, previous experience at this level is required. Ideally, previous experience working with high luxury automotive manufacturers would be beneficial but isn't essential to the success of this role. In addition to your previous experience, we are seeking individuals who display the following attributes:
