Due to exceptional growth, a national earthmoving company with a reputation for being innovative and highly professional, is searching for a new Trainee Transport Planner, based in their Head Office in Derbyshire.

The Role - Trainee Transport Planner

If you're looking for a route into the logistics industry this Trainee Transport Planner role is the perfect entry point.

The Trainee Transport Planner will assist the busy hire desk in their day-to-day operations with the aim of gaining experience and graduatingto more senior positions within the team.

Responsibilities include:

Administration
Updating the bespoke systems
Liaise with the operator manager to help allocate appropriate operators
Liaising with customers and any enquiries.
Developing and maintaining knowledge of the Company's equipment for hire or sale
Calculating, supply and chasing of quotations
Generating reports

The Hours
Monday - Friday

7:30am - 5:30pm

A minimum of 1 year's experience in administration, customer service or similar role
Knowledge of construction equipment
Excellent computer skills
MS Excel Proficiency
Exceptional communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Daily commutable to Alfreton
