    Our client, a highly respected Higher Education establishment based in Paisley, require a number of Exam Invigilators to cover the current exam diet between 24th April and 3rd May.

    Morning and afternoon shifts are offered between 9.00am and 5.15pm Monday to Friday. The rate of pay will be £12.17 per hour.

    Main Purpose of the Role:


    Under the guidance of the Registry Academic Administrator and the Senior Invigilator assigned to the exam hall, you will be responsible for the supervision of the students undertaking examinations.

    Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

    Provide assistance to the Senior Invigilator in the organisation and supervision of examinations
    Help with the distribution of examination papers and any ancillary material
    Ensure student's personal belongs are placed at the appropriate designated area
    Follow instructions regarding the running of the examination including the setting out of desks before the commencement of the examination and the supervision of the students
    Observe students during the examination ensuring that the examinations are conducted in accordance with the appropriate procedures and examination regulations
    Escort candidates who require to be absent temporarily from the examination venue
    Check the identification of students
    Collect in the attendance slips from the desks of each candidate
    Ensure candidates remain seated until all answer scripts/folders have been collected in
    Assist in bringing the examination papers back to to the Examinations unit
    Assist in ensuring that University procedures/instructions are carried out in the event of a fire alarm or first aid requirement
    Report any relevant matters regarding the operation of the exam to the Senior Invigilator
    Respond to enquiries from the Secretary of the Disciplinary Committee on any disciplinary offence arising during the invigilation of an examination
    Ensure the confidentiality of examination mattersKey Skills and Requirements:
