Experienced Social Worker

Service Group:Adults

Contractual Hours: 37 hours PW

Salary: 30+

Duration: 3 Months +

*Willing to relocate*Purpose of the role:To ensure a high quality and effective social work service to respond to the needs of adult's, families and carers in a timely manner and within statutory guidelines.

To assess need, plan and deliver focused intervention to safeguard adults and promote positive outcomes.
To be fully accountable for all the work undertaken for adults allocated to the social work unit.
To work closely with other allied health professionals in order to ensure the best outcomes for adults, families and carers.

Job details

To provide a clear, accurate and holistic assessment of an adult and his/her family's needs in line with statutory guidance.
To understand the context of adult development, and environmental factors in order to understand the needs of an individual.
To assess, balance risk, choice and protective factors within an adult safeguarding framework.
To provide written and verbal reports which are concise, informative and based on analysis of complex evidence.
To take a professional need to ensure focused and purposeful social work interventions with explicit aims and objectives about desired outcomes are embedded into personal team practice.
To take a professional lead and develop staff within your area of responsibility to embed research findings and statutory guidance to inform social work practice.
To take a professional practice lead for adults with care and support needs in the context of managing safeguarding enquiries; advising and guiding social workers to make appropriate decisions.
To use the allocated resources as directed by the service in the care purchasing of high quality value for money social care interventions from approved providers.
To build a professional relationship with Adult's, families and carers and to use that relationship to ensure a personalised approach that promotes choice and control achieves positive outcomes is adopted.
