A fantastic SEN Teaching Assistant position has become available, working 1:1 with a child in KS1 with Autism and complex learning needs?

** £80 - £90 per day

The SEN Teaching Assistant:


To be eligible for this SEN Teaching Assistant role, you must have a good understanding of a wide range of SEN, including Autism, ADHD, complex learning difficulties, and communication difficulties (non-verbal).

You should be an SEN Teaching Assistant withextensive experience working with SEN and a good understanding of communication methods, preferably using Makaton or PECS.

You should be a Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant with experience working in primary or SEN settings.

The SEN Teaching Assistant Role:


As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will primarily be working on a 1:1 basis with a pupil in Year 1 who is non-verbal and Autism and complex learning difficulties.

You will be supporting this pupil in the classroom and on a 1:1 basis.

You will be providing learningsupport for this pupil, working with teaching staff to ensure their work is differentiated appropriately to suitably challenge their level of ability.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will also be providing in-class support for students in KS1, managing classroombehaviours and providing effective learning support.

This Ofsted 'Good' primary school based in Rubery has a mixed intake and a relatively high proportion of SEN pupils.
