Budget:
£48,000-£50,000 base salary + bonus + car allowance + benefits

Job Purpose:

We are working with a successful UKAS accredited Certification Body for an ambitious BRCGS Auditor with sound knowledge of the Food and Beverage Sector

The role will consist of the following:

Conducting audits, document evidence and complete analytical reports across the companies client base, specifically for activities in Packaging, Materials, Storage and Distribution industries to enable organisations to certify for ISO Standards.

Collaborate with Internal Stake holders to ensure compliance with certification requirements.


Accountabilities:


Planning:


  • Timely completion of the BRCGS Pre-Audit checks to ensure compliant to current standards in line with BRCGS requirements.
  • Plan the audit and make effective use of the resources available to learn about the scope of the Organisation due to be audited in line with the specified UKAS Accreditation.
  • Fully understanding and working to current BRCGS policies and procedures; remaining up to date with the current guidance.
  • To observe and conduct audits under supervision until such times as the necessary competency has been achieved and sector (EA) codes allocated to ensure that the Auditor is operating within BRCGS policies and procedures.
  • Liaising with (QAIC) Team to maintain a professional relationship and the continued success of the business.
  • Deliver timely completion of audits, liaising with the relevant stakeholders to uphold company SLA's and KPI's.
  • To evaluate conformity of the Auditee's management system and processes in line with ISO Standards requirements.
  • To evaluate capability of management system to ensure the client is compliant with its statutory, regulatory, and contractual requirements and obligations.
  • To determine the effectiveness of the implemented management system in meeting specified strategic objectives set out by the organisation.
  • To identify areas for potential improvement of the management system in keeping with requirements within the ISO Standards.
  • Communicate and discuss any nonconformities and or recommendations as set out to enable the client to meet the ISO standard requirements.
  • Thorough checking of reports, ensuring they are correctly formatted and structured in line with current BRCGS policies and guidance.
  • Prepare and complete the audit reports in line with business SLA's.
  • Conduct the opening and closing meetings with clients in line with BRCGS policies and procedures to ensure adherence to BRCGS Standard of service.


Understand and effectively utilise the BRCGS Directory, liaising with the BRCGS and the auditee to maintain an effective working relationship.


Success criteria:


  • Successfully completed supervised training audits at a variety of organisations against the Global Standard for their main qualification discipline.
  • Able to demonstrate effective communication across a variety of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate solid understanding and knowledge within specific categories for which they are approved to audit.
  • Exhibit professional conduct, be objective, have good communication skills and maintain the integrity of themselves, their employer, and the Standard.

Context:


This role will be specialising in the auditing of organisations in the Packaging and materials Industry and the Storage and distribution Industry.

Directly reports to the Quality and Technical Manager and works closely with the Compliance Team to meet UKAS certification body's expectations.


Accountabilities through the business cycle include:

  • Supporting the delivery of effective and efficient BRCGS audits in line with business targets and KPI's.
  • Working closely with key internal and external stakeholders to build and support strong working relationships.
  • Conducting the audit reports, ensuring they are accurate, timely and in line with the BRCGS requirements.
  • Working closely with the Compliance Team in order to meet UKAS certification body's stringent expectations and requirements.

Salary:
£45,000.00-£52,000.00 per year
