    About the role

    Our Asset Intelligence Team is expanding, with the aim to ensure we make the best use of cutting-edge technology to provide the business with accurate information about our assets. We have an exciting opportunity for someone to make a real difference to the Northumbrian Waters digital landscape as an important member of our Content Management Team within the Asset Intelligence Department.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating for the collection, storage, and retrieval of digital information for NWG assets. Our asset portfolio is varied and so is our data. Our digital asset information can comprise of geometrical lidar scan data & imagery, CAD models, drawings, and other graphical representations.

    The role will be responsible for NWGs tactical approach to building a comprehensive model library of its assets. This will include the operational capture of above ground assets utilising lidar scanning technology and associated software platforms, liaising with site operations teams and a drone capture resource to plan the capture and federation of scanning data.

    Provide NWG stakeholders and supply chain partners with accurate geometrical and visual asset data.

    You will procure, deploy, and maintain NWG 'Asset Streetview' panoramic survey imagery platform to provide various business stakeholders with asset information, integrating existing unstructured data sources within content management, in the form of digitised documentation, drawings, and structured data sources in the form of the Enterprise Asset Management System, Maximo.

    The role will manage and maintain the areas within NWG corporate systems ensuring access to create, modify or append digital asset information, ensuring it is undertaken in a controlled environment, with an emphasis to pro-actively remediate legacy asset information, working closely with operational teams to validate legacy content for use in capital projects.

    About you

    As the successful candidate, you will have proven expertise in handling and federating scan and model data sets. You will have excellent experience of terrestrial laser scanning and lidar point cloud processing, registration, and federation. You'll have a strong CAD Skills utilising 3D design software (Revit) and mesh/surface modelling techniques.

    We are looking for candidates with a comprehensive understanding of the creation and maintenance of unstructured asset information systems.

    You will also have proven experience working in a professional environment with a track record of collaborating with and influencing multi-disciplinary teams.

    You will be self-motivated, able to work unsupervised, possessing sound communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholders, building effective relationships.

    You will have suitable qualifications in the form of HNC/HND or BTEC Level 3 in an engineering discipline
