Associate Director, Communications

Join a nimble team of seasoned communicators and marketers within a leading fully integrated biopharmaceutical solutions organization where we focus on helping our customers shorten the distance from Lab to Life. The Global Corporate Communications & Marketing (GCC&M) team at Syneos Health (Nasdaq: SYNH) is looking for a highly collaborative communicator to develop, plan and execute effective internal communications initiatives that increase employee engagement and align with the Company's strategy and business priorities.

  • Develop, execute and/or coordinate critical communications strategies and tactics to support Syneos Health's enterprise and transformation initiatives, business priorities, foster culture and strengthen employee engagement.
  • Drive excellence as part of the Global Corporate Communications & Marketing (GCC&M) team in close alignment with multidisciplinary, matrixed teams, including Human Resources; Global Operations; Corporate Real Estate; Legal; Corporate Strategy; Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I); Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and our regional and country offices worldwide.
  • Ensure internal communications are delivered using best practices and continuously optimized based upon metrics and trends.
  • Deliver ontime, within budget, and against the agreed scope and quality standards. Manage issues, and risks to ensure successful and ontime delivery. Contribute to process improvement initiatives and challenge the status quo.

Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team and other Senior Business / Corporate Dept. leaders, in consultation with Corporate Business Partners, to drive business/customer behaviors, culture and engagement to ensure communication strategies and messages are successfully implemented.
  • Provide strategic communications counsel to Executives and other Senior Business / Corporate Dept. leaders that ensure critical consistency and flexibility execution to deliver impactful communication amidst continuous organizational transformation.
  • Writee, edit or produce clear, concise and engaging communications that provide line of sight from corporate initiatives and programs through the organization and give employees the information they need for top business performance.

Functional / Technical Expertise

  • Strong communications strategist with experience simplifying complex topics for a variety of internal audiences; proficient in Internal/Employee Communications best practices and standards.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, including developing presentations and materials for Executives and other Senior Business Corporate Dept. leaders.
  • Experience utilizing variety of communication vehicles and channels (e.g., mobile app, newsletter, intranet, Microsoft TEAMS, video, etc.) to create, implement and manage programs that support enterprise priorities, business initiatives, brand awareness and engagement with a highly dispersed global workforce.
  • Video and audio editing experience; including coordinating with external production partners/creative agencies.
  • Event planning/execution experience (small and large scale town halls and meetings domestically and abroad); including coordinating with event vendors (e.g., hotel, catering, A/V) and internal partners (e.g., Conferences team, IT, Finance) on cost, capacity and logistics.
