HR Advisor - Sheffield, United Kingdom - Sheffield City Council
Description
We are starting a journey of significant organisation and culture change, with new organisational values which will support how we work, what we do and how we organise and deliver services to our communities.
As an HR Advisor in Sheffield City Council, you will be part of an experienced, supportive team, who work together to enable our managers and their teams to provide high quality, vital services in the City. As a Council, people are at the heart of what we do, which makes the role of the HR team so important to us.
To be an HR Advisor, you must be an excellent communicator, confident in dealing with employees, managers and trade unions representatives. You will need a good grounding in the day-to-day application of employment law and be able to advise on HR procedures in a people centred way.
Our professional HR Advisors and Consultants work together to support significant change using a project-based approach and the use of workforce data so an ability to gather and present information effectively is important.
You will be competent in using the range of IT solutions available to support us in our roles at the Council and able to translate that skill to quickly learn the HR systems.
You will also have the opportunity to be involved in developing policies and frameworks so our workforce is equipped for the future, where diversity of experience and background is valued and our staff are skilled, engaged and committed to performing well in their roles.
Your role will include:
In return, you will be offered a competitive salary with additional benefits such as an attractive pension and a generous holiday entitlement. You will also have access to excellent training and the opportunity to grow and development your career over the years to come.
We are also supporting staff with unpaid caring responsibilities to work flexibly.
If you are interested in furthering your career by working as an HR Advisor, we welcome your application.
