Responsibility:

To organise and supervise the work of the Catering Department
To exercise due diligence regarding food safety and hygiene and ensure all kitchen staff understand their responsibility in this respect
To devise and maintain rotational menus to provide choice and nutritional requirements for all service users to agreed budgetary level and the Company Catering Quality Procedure
To prepare and ensure meals are presented and delivered to service user's in an appetising manner following the approved menu cycle
To be responsible for the preparation and presentation of service user's, visitors and staff meals as required
To assess output, quality and attractiveness of food, in order to maintain an excellent standard of service, and maintain service user contact to obtain their comments and requests
To report promptly all complaints however minor concerning the catering services or other matters to the Manager
To ensure that all special dietary needs and preferences are catered for whenever necessary and liaise with the Manager regarding special diets
To ensure that proper standards of cleanliness are maintained and hygiene regulations are observed at all times
