Fabrications Sales & Costing Estimator

£30,000 - £40,000 plus bonus

Derby with some travel around Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire

My client a manufacturing company are looking for a Fabrications Sales & Costing Estimator to join their team working within the metal and steal work side due to growth.

This is a great opportunity to join a successful company who offer a supportive and friendly working environment.

This position will require you to join an established team to secure business from both existing customers while also developing new business from potential clients.

You will be required to build strong relationships with clients both old and new.

You will support clients to ensure you have a strong understanding of their requirements, provide estimates for work to be carried out and then submit a competitive bid for the work.

Key responsibilities of the Fabrications Sales & Costing Estimator:

Building relationships with potential clients through new business calls
Account managing existing relationships with clients
Upselling products and services
Attending client sites to put together estimates
Providing estimates to clients and putting forward competitive bids
Carrying out a range of administrative tasks

Key skillset of the Fabrications Sales & Costing Estimator:

A strong understanding of metals and material purchasing
Experience working within sales/estimating
Good communication, negotiation and organisational skills
Previous experience with the fabrication process such as powder coating, welding and press brakes ops
Strong IT skills
Able to work to tight deadlines
