    Job Title: Full Time Business Support Officer Grade 4 supporting across multiple teams within Education & Children's Services

    We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Business Support Officer to enhance our already established friendly and supportive team who will contribute to the key work of the Education and Children's Directorate.

    This post is a permanent full time post across multiple work areas, based in Preston.

    This is an exciting opportunity for the post holder to work with a number of teams and learn how to support work within our Education & Children's Services. This role will require the post holder to be flexible in meeting the needs of the business. You will need to be adaptable in working across multiple teams, by supporting which area of the Service that needs extra support. This in turn gives the post holder a wide skill base and lots of knowledge and experience across our Services.

    You could be really experienced in administration or looking to build on your previous experience and there is no better place to do this than with us.

    What we are looking for

    Passion –You'll be passionate about delivering a great service and experience, it's what will motivate you, getting it right first time, asking for support when you need it and building on the skills that you've developed elsewhere.

    Knowledge and Experience – Ideally you will have experience of working within an administration setting and have knowledge of using Microsoft packages and databases.

    Great Communication – You'll be engaging and providing advice to Managers, Social Workers, families, members of the public and the rest of the team on a daily basis, so being able to clearly communicate the information you need and listen to individual requirements is key.
