The Department of Economics at Manchester wishes to appoint one Economics Officer from June 2024. This is a fixed term position. This is a demanding role, and we wish to appoint a flexible colleague who will be able to support the Economics Manager and work with academic colleagues in the Economics Department and Professional Services (PS) staff in the School of Social Sciences. The candidate will be responsible for supporting academic colleagues in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in the delivery of their teaching and learning activities, and in enhancing the student experience in economics.

An important and significant part of the colleague's responsibilities will be contributing to the delivery of the small group teaching allocation including the recruitment and training of the Economics Department's Teaching Assistants and Teaching Associates. In addition, the colleague will be expected to support the operational teaching administration for the Head/Deputy Head of Department and academic colleagues in the department. We anticipate that the colleague will be keenly interested and willing to engage with economics as a subject.
