The Faculty of Health and Social Sciences (HSS) is central to this vision, working closely with practice partners to prepare and develop health care and social work professionals to provide high quality care.

The Faculty is situated at Lansdowne Campus, in central Bournemouth and close to its beautiful beaches and amenities.


We are looking for a highly motivated individual to be responsible for the day-to-day allocation, management and administration of specific professional practice and standard placements, helping to ensure that all students meet the training requirements of all HSS programmes in liaison with appropriate academic members of staff.

You will need to demonstrate significant administrative experience coupled with excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will have experience in using databases and developing reports, and the ability to manage a complex workload.

You will be a customer-focused individual with the ability to liaise with internal and external colleagues at all levels.

You should be flexible in your approach, and able to manage deadlines effectively, while providing specialist knowledge and support to students, academic staff and external stakeholders.

Strong organisational flair, combined with a proactive approach is essential, as is the ability to work both independently and as a highly-effective team member.


This position does not meet the eligibility requirements for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker Route within the UK Visa and Immigration service's Points Based System
. Therefore, BU will not be able to sponsor individuals who require permission to work to carry out this position.
