Network Engineer - Leeds, United Kingdom - EMIS

Here at EMIS we are looking for an innovative and solution driven Network Engineer to join us on a permanent basis, working within our hosted infrastructure team.

You will be involved in the support of production network environments including patching and routine maintenance to ensure high levels of network availability and service stability for hosted systems.

Our main technology vendors include Cisco, Juniper and HP, and we are currently on a transformation journey from on-prem to cloud technologies including AWS and Azure.

Please note that whilst this role is hybrid position, there would be an expectation for you to come into the Leeds office on a weekly basis.

There is also an on-call schedule for this Network Engineer job.

You will be working in a fast-paced role where you will be providing support for a stable and highly available production network and across our data centres.

You will be involved in several projects in our multi-vendor network across both cloud and on-prem.

We want you to operate with an open mind to allow you to focus on improving current documentation and bring value to the team through a time of transformation.

Support of new and existing network solutions to match the continuous environmental evolution
Ensure the existing network solutions are patched to current/suitable security levels
Monitor, measure, maintain and improve network performance – to provide a good customer experience

You will be an experienced Network Engineer, who demonstrates great experience and knowledge in supporting networks in a complex environment.

Foundation experience of HP Switches or Fortigate
A proactive approach to providing excellent customer experience though high standards of quality
