What You'll be Doing Each Day**:

  • Responsible for serving as a point of contact for sales and import related activities.
  • Develop the new customers.
  • Communicate effectively with existing/future customers and make sure orders are completed in a timely manner.
  • Manage the documentation process and working with Japan HQ to arrange the transportation.
  • Communicate with customers regarding with their inquiries and order forecasts.
  • Handle claims from customers by discussing the matter with Japan HQ, in order to solve the technical or physical problems that occurred.
  • Introduce new products / technologies to existing/future customers and guide them to the best suits their needs.
  • Understanding the European food trend and identify new products /technologies/suppliers and report them to Japan HQ.
Sales activities 40%

  • Identified new target categories /customers by doing market analysis and incorporate them into the actual sales activities
  • Review target categories/customers in response to the change of environmental surroundings/market needs
  • Subdivide sales purpose and set up its goal
  • Create a sales activity plan and execute it
  • Negotiate the price with both customer and HQ
  • Send PO to HQ as receiving orders from customer
  • Deliver the goods with necessary shipping arrangement/documents by working with other organization
  • Obtain forecast from customer for the systematic delivery
  • Work as a liaison between HQ and customers for all inquiries such as claims and technical matter
  • Facilitating visits and virtual meetings with customers (R&D, Procurement, Regulatory dept etc.)
Import logistics activities 30%

  • Create / send necessary shipping documents with other organization
  • Communicate the forwarder and HQ to proceed shipment as needed
  • Deliver the products correctly to the place where customer desired
New business development 30%

  • Investigate and report on the current food markets in Europe (Trend, New product, Companies, Regulation etc)
  • Investigate and report on new technology, ingredients in Europe
  • Investigate new raw material / suppliers and obtain the samples/documentations upon the request of HQ
  • Participate in the conference / exhibitions to find the new technologies/ingredients/suppliers
  • Identify the new business opportunities where market trends needs and our product portfolio match

The Skills You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Business level of fluency in both English and Japanese
  • Interested in food products.
  • Interested in Japanese/Asian culture.
  • Experience in sales and new business development
- self-motivated and have willing to do attitude
