Trafford Council are currently recruiting for an Area Manager to work within Services for Education.


Pay Rate

PAYE:
£15.94-£16.94


Umbrella:
£19.72-£21


Contract:
Temporary, minimum 6 months


Location:
Trafford, office based at Trafford Town Hall


Hours: 36.25 per week. Must be flexible and participate on a rota basis; covering the core hours of the service of 7:30am - 17:30pm and be able to travel to sites within Greater Manchester.


About the Role


Operational Services for Education (OSfE) are committed to delivering professional, efficient, friendly, high quality, value for money services to the majority of schools in Trafford using experienced staff.


Trafford Council are looking for an Area Manager to work on the Cleaning Services side to ensure they are providing an excellent service to the schools in Trafford.

The Cleaning Service delivers building cleaning to schools, the private sector and Trafford'sadmin buildings in a competitive market.


Duties Include:


  • Carry out continuous reviews of the service delivery maximising on your experience and leadership skills evidencing value for money to our customers.
  • Ensure the allocation of resources (annually, termly, weekly and monthly), expenditure etc are verified within their allocated contracts to ensure their viability and sustainability throughout contract period. This requires consideration of supplies, possiblechanges to service delivery that may be introduced part way through contracts, sufficient staffing levels for the contract period.
  • Weekly monitoring of performance is also required of poorly performing contracts to identify errors / anomalies within performance returns, it is necessary to work swiftly to resolve poor performance and to identify future problems and possible resolutions.
  • Be the first point of contact for our customers providing professional highquality customer service across OSfE to ensure delivery of an efficient and effective day to day service to key stakeholders.

What they're looking for


Above all you will be a great organizer with excellent communication and management skills, balancing priorities, completing tasks efficiently and to a high standard.

You will also have significant experience of managing staff and contracts across numerous sites.

Whilst the role encompasses both catering and cleaning we are looking for someone with contract cleaning or soft facilities management experience who is preparedto develop on the catering side.


You will also have excellent ICT office skills and able to utilize a range of systems producing high quality reports.
