Description
These are exciting times for Sheffield Hallam.

We aim to transform lives by becoming a leading applied university, creating opportunity regionally and globally, and leading social, economic and cultural change.

We are challenging ourselves to become a role model, demonstrating the impact of an imaginative and ambitious university.

As an Executive Assistant (EA), you will play a key role in supporting the leadership of the University, directly supporting the PVC Learning, Teaching and Student Success (LTSS) in the first instance, placing you at the centre of the University's activities.

You will need to demonstrate high levels of proactivity and initiative and develop an in depth understanding of the PVC LTSS' portfolio in order to provide effective executive support.

As part of your role, you will also manage a wide range of systems and processes; provide a first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, and service boards, committees and meetings as appropriate.

In short, your role will be to enable one of our senior leaders to perform at their best, delivering the University's ambitious strategy and mission.

In addition, the post holder will work collaboratively as part of the wider UEB Executive Support Team to ensure a consistent, high standard of executive support to the University Executive Board (UEB).

As a high-performing and strongly engaged individual, you will demonstrate a positive, flexible approach, working collaboratively to deliver a professional and responsive support service.

You should have significant experience of providing personal and proactive support at a senior level.

Focussed and tenacious, you must have the ability to organise and prioritise a varied and complex workload to tight deadlines.

An ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, dealing with individuals and information in a sensitive manner within a confidential environment is essential, as are excellent IT skills.

The University is unable to sponsor the employment of international applicants in this role
