The Company

We are excited to be assisting a national earthmoving company with a reputation for being innovative and highly professional, in finding a new Senior Transport Planner, based in their Head Office in Derbyshire.

The Role - Senior Transport Planner
Reporting to the Transport Manager, the new Senior Transport Planner will liaise with customer, customer services, yard managers and directors

Responsibilities include:

Planning 21 Road Sweeper vehicles
Minimising costs maximising revenue
Producing job tickets and consignment notes for drivers
Updating the bespoke system
Processing and updating a number of spreadsheets.
Liaising with drivers using In the house tracking system.

The Hours
Monday - Friday

7:30am - 5:30pm

1 Saturday per month

A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role
Experience in vehicle route planning
Experience of the construction industry
Excellent computer skills
MS Excel Proficiency
A strong understanding of the legal requirements regarding Driving Hours and Working Time
Exceptional communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Daily commutable to Alfreton
