- All maintenance, repair and fault finding of a variety of machinery and plant equipment within the Port; including forklift trucks, ship to shore cranes, industrial plant, lock date infrastructure and commercial vehicles
- Developing an in depth working knowledge of plan equipment and associated drawings in order to minimise downtime when repairs take place
- Reporting any damage or misuse to Supervisory staff and liaise with operational staff to inform of timescales for repairs
- You must be a time served qualified Mechanical Fitter or equivalent role/qualifications
- Previous experience of working within an industrialised environment
- Knowledge of diesel engines and hydraulics would be advantageous
- You should be comfortable working at height / outdoors
- You must hold a full driving licence, valid in the UK

We're seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to be a crucial member of our dynamic & experienced Engineering team at our port in Leith. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running and maintenance of our port facilities and so we are looking for an experienced individual who is keen to gain further exposure in a fast-paced environment.
This is a great opportunity to work with a wide range of machinery and plant equipment across the Port, where no two days will be the same.
