With the Eating Disorders teams across Norfolk and Waveney continuing to expand we are looking to recruit an Assistant Psychologist to start on a 12 month fixed term contract on a full-time basis.


NSFT now has 4 eating disorders services across Norfolk, including community teams in Great Yarmouth, Norwich and Kings Lynn, and an Intensive Treatment Team which runs an intensive day programme.

This role will cover the Central Norwich and Kings Lynn community eating disorder teams for under 18s.


We are seeking to appoint someone with enthusiasm, inter-personal warmth, and experience of working with people, to a role that will include both clinical work and data collection and analysis.


You will work closely alongside a qualified clinical psychologist and support psychological assessment and treatment, staff training, and collection and analysis of outcome measures.

You will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

You will be required to write reports for both clinical work and to provide updates on the routine outcome measures.

There may also be opportunities to be involved in service development projects and for training to support your role.

You will receive weekly supervision from a qualified psychologist.

We have close links to the clinical psychology doctoral training programme at the UEA and have supported previous assistant psychologists onto clinical training.

You will be working alongside one other assistant psychologist and there are several assistant psychologists working in the care group.

There is a local reflective practice group for assistants and peer support group.
