    About the Role

    The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Queen Mary University of London is seeking to recruit a Senior Research Manager who will support the development and delivery of the faculty's research and innovation strategy by facilitating new research opportunities for the School(s) they work with. They will support the development of a successful research culture by embedding good practice in research development throughout the University both personally and through the team of Research Managers they manage.

    The Senior Research Manager will work closely with the Faculty Strategic Research Manager, as well as the Dean for Research, School Directors of Research, and related Professional Services colleagues to support our academic staff in all aspects of research activity and growing research income across the faculty. The post-holder will be the lead contact for their school(s) for all knowledge exchange, impact and innovation activities and will facilitate research opportunities through developing relationships with internal and external partners for collaboration and funding and embed good practice to build knowledge exchange.

    About You

    The successful candidate will have extensive experience of working within HEI or another organisation in research grant administration and/or impact. The ability to develop efficient and effective processes and practice to facilitate bid development and proposal preparation is essential. They will have line management experience and be able to lead a team.
